HANGU, September 15: Unidentified armed men opened fire on a police station in Hangu district, killing a policeman and injuring three others.
The police say the armed assailants opened fire on the gate of Tal Police Station after a suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the gate. The incident left a policeman dead and three others injured.
Two killed in DI Khan: In separate incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire at the house of Mr Saifur Rehman, the station house officer (SHO) of Kulachi Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan district. Two brothers of Mr Saifur Rehman died in the firing while another was injured.
An SHO, usually an inspector or sub-inspector in rank, heads a police station in Pakistan.
