BANNU, July 19: A policeman and two internally displaced persons were injured in a clash at a food distribution centre in Bannu.
The police say the IDPs tried to enter the Bannu Sports Complex forcibly to receive aid money, but policemen stopped them. The IDPs started throwing stones and bricks on the police, injuring one policeman.
In response, the police fired shots, injuring two IDPs including a 71-year-old man.
Both the injured were taken to the Bannu Headquarter Hospital where they were said to be in stable condition.
