PESHAWAR, November 28: The Traffic Police Department have initiated a programme for psychological training of its personnel in Peshawar.
SSP Traffic, Mr. Wahid Mehmood said at the opening day of the training at Peshawar Police Lines that according to his estimates 380 among the total 1,300 traffic police officials in Peshawar have been affected from various psychological and physical diseases due to workload, fear, lack of preventative measures and many other reasons.
Talking to media persons after the training session, Mr. Wahid Mehmood said such sessions would be held on monthly basis and masks and gloves will also be provided to the traffic police officials to protect them from pollution.
“Because of excessive workload sometimes traffic officials quarrel with the masses. We have arranged this training to bring improvement in their attitudes. A plan has been prepared for this purpose which has been approved by IGP Mr. Nasir Durrani,” he said. This training will help the traffic officials in performing their duties in a stress-free environment,” Mr. Wahid said.
