PESHAWAR, October 3: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to stage a protest rally on 21 November in Larkana, Sindh province, after protesting in Islamabad and Punjab.
The PTI has been protesting in the country since 14 August, demanding Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharif to resign and hold re-elections, because the party says the elections in 2013 had been rigged.
Addressing a rally in Mianwali, PTI chief Mr Imran Khan said sloganeering is democratic right of citizens and that the government should not forbid people to chant “Go Nawaz Go!”
Yesterday Premier Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Mr Shahbaz Sharif and Ms Maryam Nawaz, daughter of the prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League leader, asked the prime minister to avoid chanting “Go Nawaz Go!” otherwise they would also respond in a similar language.
Meanwhile, Dr Tahirul Qadri, whose Pakistan Awami Tehrik’s activists, have also been protesting in Islamabad for the last 50 days, has announced to participate in elections in the country.
He has asked people to contact him from any part of the country of they wished to contest elections from his party’s platform.
