

PESHAWAR, October 28: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has distributed food items and other utility goods among 600 families of internally displaced persons (IDPs) at a relief camp in Pishtakhara area of the provincial capital.
Iqbal Afridi, the president of PTI for Khyber Agency, says they have given rice, cereals and cooking oil to 500 families. He added that another 100 families had been provided with blankets, towels and beds in view of the winter season.
“At our registration point, we regularly register those families who leave Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency. we After registration, we provide them food items by calling 100 to 150 people from each tribe on every second or third day,” he said
The victims have lauded the aid and appealed to the federal government to extend such assistance to them.
“It will suffice our purpose for the time being. But we will be looking forward for further help. We required these things as the winter has set in and people have left their homes. The things that we have received include food items as well. We thank them for helping us,” stated one of the IDPs at the registration point.
