

Mr Qureshi says his party has decided to resume talks with govt
PESHAWAR, August 22: Members National Assembly (MNAs) of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf have submitted their resignations to the secretary of the legislature on Friday.
After submitting resignations, PTI leader Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the authorities was lifting containers from around their long march, after which the core committee of PTI decided to resume negotiations with the government.
He added that they also decided to include the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mr Pervez Khattak in the negotiating committee and that they had seen goodwill gestures from government side.
The PTI chairman, Mr Imran Khan, first demanded resignation of the Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharif while his other demands include re-elections, impartial caretaker government, elections reforms and punishment to those involved in rigging the 2013 elections.
