PESHAWAR, May 26: The government of Punjab has restored wheat supply to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA region.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Mr Sardar Mehtab, talked to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif regarding the problems created due to suspension of wheat supply in the province. The Punjab chief minister announced lifting ban on the wheat supply, and said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA were already facing a host of problems, particularly lawlessness. He assured cooperation on the part of the Punjab government with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Four days ago, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had sought reply from the government of Punjab over suspending wheat supply to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal region.
