
PESHAWAR, August 12: The Pakistan Railways authorities organised an exhibition of antiques at the Saddar Railway Station in the provincial capital Peshawar.
A large number of people, especially students, visited the exhibition. TNN correspondent says the venue had hundreds of years old antiques, including water mushk (leather bag used for carrying water), lanterns, typewriter and a red light signal that was used as danger sign.
It also had a train model, box of keys, telephone, heater and telegraph sounder, by which secret messages were sent from one station to another. Some of the visitors of exhibition told TNN, “This exhibition is held every year and a big number of people visit it. It gives people the feeling that they have an independent country and a railway system.”
