Important instructions have been issued for Afghan families and citizens returning to Afghanistan via the Torkham border from the Afghan holding camp established near Hamza Baba Shrine in Landi Kotal.

According to the administration, the Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall over the next three days, which has reduced capacity in the holding camp and surrounding areas.

Authorities have clearly instructed that Afghan citizens should not head to the holding camp in Landi Kotal without a token, in order to avoid overcrowding, difficulties, and potential losses.

The administration stated that only individuals with tokens are being allowed entry into the camp, while those arriving without tokens may face serious inconvenience.

It is worth noting that since April 1, 2026, more than 57,000 Afghan refugees have returned to their homeland via the Torkham border.
