Peshawar: Rain and hailstorms swept through several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, breaking the intensity of the summer heat and turning the weather pleasant. Intermittent downpours were reported in Peshawar, Khyber, Lower Dir, Abbottabad, Upper Kohistan, and Nowshera.
In Tehsil Bara’s Shalobar area, strong winds and heavy rain near Besai Baba hills badly damaged the dilapidated house of a man named Hussain. The only room and veranda of the house collapsed, injuring women and children, and destroying household items.
Rain and gusty winds also brought relief to residents in Tehsil Jamrud, where people were seen enjoying the cooler weather.

In Lower Dir and surrounding areas, the dust settled, and the weather became noticeably more pleasant.
In Nowshera, a wall collapsed due to strong winds, injuring a young man who was shifted to the hospital after receiving first aid from Rescue 1122.
Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to take precautionary measures during the ongoing weather changes.
The Met Office has forecast more rain over the next three days, while PDMA has finalized preparations to tackle any emergency. In Upper Kohistan, flash floods forced the closure of several sections of the Karakoram Highway.
