PESHAWAR: According to the Meteorological Department, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive rain with thunderstorms, while most districts will experience dry weather and a further drop in temperature.
The department reported that while most areas of the province will remain cold and dry, upper districts are likely to witness a significant increase in cold intensity.
Rain is forecasted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Hazara Division, Mansehra, Kohistan, Battagram, Mohmand, Bajaur, and Kurram, with snowfall expected in upper districts.

In the last 24 hours, the highest recorded rainfall was 11mm in Dir, followed by 9mm in Kalam, 7mm in Mir Khani, 6mm in Drosh, and 3mm each in Chitral and Malam Jabba. Meanwhile, Kakul received 2mm, and Saidu Sharif and Takht Bhai recorded 1mm of rain each.
Additionally, snowfall was recorded in Kalam (5 inches) and Malam Jabba (1 inch).
