PESHAWAR: Intermittent rainfall continued in Peshawar and its surrounding areas, intensifying the winter chill. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted more rain and snowfall in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, most districts of the province will experience partly cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorms, rain, and snowfall in hilly areas. Areas expected to receive rain and snowfall include Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Torghar, Battagram, Haripur, Swabi, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, North and South Waziristan.

In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 27°C. The coldest temperature in the province was recorded in Kalam at --1 °C, followed by Parachinar at 0°C.
