Rain Predicted for Northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Heatwave Continues in Southern Districts

According to the department, there is a chance of rain accompanied by strong winds in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Torghar, and Abbottabad over the next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain for the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while most of the province will continue to experience hot weather conditions.

According to the department, there is a chance of rain accompanied by strong winds in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Torghar, and Abbottabad over the next 24 hours.

However, the province's southern and plain areas will remain under extreme heat. In Peshawar city, the minimum temperature is expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 42 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in Peshawar has been recorded at 33 percent.

The highest temperature in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was recorded in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) at 45 degrees Celsius. Other recorded temperatures include Mardan at 34°C, Swabi at 35°C, Nowshera at 36°C, Swat at 30°C, Bannu at 40°C, Kurram at 30°C, Malakand at 32°C, and Mohmand at 33°C.
