Dera Ismail Khan: A remote-controlled bomb blast in Tehsil Kulachi claimed the lives of two security personnel and left six others injured on Bypass Road near Loni Bridge.
According to sources, the security forces' vehicle was targeted by a bomb placed under the bridge. The injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where their condition was reported to be out of danger.
Following the incident, security forces and police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
In another incident, Constable Syed Fazal Hussain Shah was shot dead by unidentified terrorists near Kotli Imam in the Cantonment police station limits of DI Khan.

His body was sent for post-mortem before being handed over to his family. Police have registered a case against unknown assailants and initiated an investigation.
The attack comes just days after a major counterterrorism operation in the Jahan Khani area of Kulachi on February 15, where security forces eliminated nine terrorists, including a Taliban governor.
Security sources revealed that the operation was launched based on intelligence reports about terrorist activities. During the raid, an intense exchange of fire took place, resulting in the elimination of all nine militants, while security forces suffered no casualties.
