MARDAN, July 5: The Rescue 1122, which has been set up to assist people in emergency situations, is facing a host of problems due to prank calls in Mardan district.
Chairman of the organization in Mardan, Dr Haris, says that they have received 18,500 prank calls during last one month in their district.
Dr Haris said the organisation provided more than 2,000 people first-aid or took them to hospital in the month of June.
A needy person’s life may be spoiled just because of prank calls, he said.
Dr Haris added, “The Rescue 1122 is an emergency service and it saves people’s lives. I request people not to make a fun of it. Those who hear the siren of the Rescue 1122 van must provide space to it on the road.”
