

SWAT, August 1: Residents of Swat and relatives are praying for the success of Mr Rameez Khan, who is representing Pakistan in the Commonwealth Games in table tennis competitions.
Mr Khan belongs to Barikot area in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Azhar Khan, uncle of Rameez Khan, told TNN that his nephew won under-12 for two times and lifted national championship of under-15 for three times.
He said his whole family was hopeful that his nephew would win the title in the Glasgow games this time as well.
Azhar Khan said, “He started this game from the age of eight years and then he was selected in higher ranking. Now he has been selected for the Commonwealth Games. He has won bronze medal at South Asia level. But unfortunately our players did not get chance in international sports events.”
