BISHAM, June 21: People of Ghurband area in Shangla district have protested what they call indifferent of authorities towards construction of the Alpurai road.
At a rally on 20 June, the protesters said construction work on the road was underway for the last 15 years and that the government had released 3 billion rupees it. However, they added that till now the 32-kilometre road could not be constructed.
The protesters said some people had misappropriated the funds released for the project and asked the government to probe the issue.
