Scorching Heat Grips KP Plains as Rain Likely in Northern and Hilly Areas

The weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to remain hot and partly cloudy today, with intense heat in the plains and chances of rain in northern and mountainous regions, according to the Meteorological Department.

Rain is forecast for several areas, including Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, and Kohistan. Other areas likely to receive rain include Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Torghar, Kohat, and Karak.

Light to moderate rain is also expected in Swabi, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, and both North and South Waziristan.

Dusty winds are likely to blow across the plains of the province, potentially affecting visibility and air quality.

On Monday, rainfall was recorded in parts of Chitral, Swat, Bajaur, and Dir. Specific measurements included 6mm in Malam Jabba, 2mm in Timergara, and 1mm in Kalam.

In Peshawar, the minimum temperature is expected to be 28°C, with a maximum of up to 41°C. Humidity was recorded at 29 percent.

Kalam recorded the lowest temperature at 12°C, while Malam Jabba stood at 15°C. In the southern districts, especially Dera Ismail Khan, temperatures could soar up to 43°C.
