Security Forces Foil Terror Plot in North Waziristan, 12 Militants Killed

During the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Ibrahim was martyred, while Captain Saad, Havaldar Sohrab, and Sepoy Abdul Aleem sustained injuries.

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces thwarted a major terrorist infiltration attempt near the Pak-Afghan border in Datta Khel’s Margha area, killing 12 militants and injuring four in a fierce gun battle.

According to sources, intelligence reports indicated that a heavily armed terrorist formation was planning an attack. As soon as the group crossed the border, security forces launched a decisive operation, surrounding and engaging the militants.

During the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Ibrahim was martyred, while Captain Saad, Havaldar Sohrab, and Sepoy Abdul Aleem sustained injuries. The bodies of the slain terrorists and their weapons were seized by security forces.

The injured personnel were airlifted to CMH Bannu for medical treatment.
