MARDAN, October 31: The Governance Support Project, a welfare organization in the private sector, held a seminar to raise awareness among people about Right to Public Services Act at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Mardan district.
Provincial Educational Minister Mr Muhammad Atif; Commissioner of Mardan Mr Khalid Hussain, Chief Commissioner Right to Public Services Mr Azmat Hanif Orakzai and other officials attended the seminar.
In his address, Mr Muhammad Atif, said that the government organisations would be bound to give fulfill the rights and needs of people due to this Act. And if an organisation fails to satisfy any citizen, a person can raise his voice against that particular organisation.
A few participants of the event told TNN that an enormous change could be brought in society if the laws were promulgated in a proper way.
“This Act will help those women who don’t have any male member to take care of them. This is a very good step taken by the KP government. It clearly shows that provincial government is concerned about its people,” stated a speaker on the occasion.
