
PESHAWAR, August 15: Several people were injured in a clash between activists of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-N in Gujranwala, Punjab.
PTI supporters said they reached Gujranwala when about 400 activists of PM -N started throwing stones at their rally, injuring several PTI members injured.
PTI members alleged that the attackers had been mobilised by Mr Poomi Butt, brother of local PML-N MPA Khalid Butt.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also took notice of the incident and in a statement he asked his party workers to remain peaceful and also directed the police to control the situation.
The Azadi March of Imran Khan and Inqilab March of Tahirul Qadri have started from Lahore towards Islamabad and they were expected to reach their destination tonight. Both of the leaders announced to continue their long march till the fall of the government.
