Small gatherings cannot bring anything for PPP: Ajmal Wazir

PESHAWAR: Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Tribal Affairs Ajmal Wazir has said that the purpose of the visit of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to KP was to save the corruption of his father and aunt.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Thursday, Ajmal Wazir said the government had given deadline for showing benami (undeclared) assets and now action will be taken against those having hidden assets. He said strict action will be taken against those who did not disclose their assets under the tax amnesty scheme.

The CM’s adviser said the PPP is a group of turncoats. He said the public meeting of the PPP in Mohmand tribal district was a flop show. He said people of tribal district are well aware about hollow slogans of the PPP. He said the small party gatherings can bring nothing for the PPP, however, the Urdu of Bilawal will improve a little bit.

Ajmal Wazir said the PPP chairman is comfortably ignoring the emergence of so many HIV cases in Sindh and death of children in Tharparkar. He said billions of rupees are being found in the bank accounts of rickshaw drivers and falooda sellers. He said the previous rulers have no reply when they are asked about the 24,0000 billion rupees loans. He alleged that the amount has been transferred abroad through money laundering.

The adviser said the tribal people have not forgotten the remarks of the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari about Rao Anwar. He said Zardari used to call Rao Anwar a brave lad. He wondered how Bilawal suddenly have concerns about development of tribal districts when elections are announced there. He said the people of the country rejected the PPP in the last elections. He said the PTI knocked out the PPP from KP.

Ajmal Wazir said Imran Khan is the only prime minister of the country who has visited all the tribal districts and the government has allocated record amount for development of merged areas. He said the federal government has allocated Rs162 billion, and KP government has allocated Rs11 billon for tribal districts, but Sindh is not willing to forgo Rs3 billion from its share to merged districts.

He said the government has introduced Insaf Rozgar Scheme, Sehat Insaf Cards and created 35,000 jobs in merged districts and much more will be done in coming times.
