LANDIKOTAL, May 5: Security forces have foiled smuggling of bulletproof vests from Afghanistan to Khyber Agency and arrested the accused.
Official say Ateeq-ur-Rehman, resident of Afghanistan, had concealed 40 vests in a box and was supplying the same to Pakistan through Torkham pass when Khassadar personnel intercepted him.
Security sources say the vests did not have bulletproof plates, which are usually part of such jackets for safety.
