Two separate attacks in South Waziristan and Lakki Marwat districts left a person dead on Monday.

Police in South Waziristan district confirmed that the a passerby was killed when a blast took place in the Danalagad area of Wana-Azam Warsak Road.

Police said that a passerby who was riding a bike was killed in the blast.

Separately, a bomb attack targeted the vehicle of the area’s deputy superintendent of police Abdul Khel locality of the Lakki Marwat district; however, there were no casualties.

The blast badly damaged the police vehicle.

Police said that DSP Iqbal Mohmand was on a visit to the area to check security for polio teams, when a blast targeted his vehicle.

Police said that an encounter between the policeman and militants was underway in the area following the attack.
