MINGORA, November 25: Sports competitions among various schools of Malakand region have started in Swat district.
In the inaugural matches of tug-of-war, the Buner, Chitral and Malakand teams have won their contests.
The Buner and Lower Dir teams won hockey matches, Buner and Shangla teams won badminton, Swat and Buner succeeded in volleyball, Malakand and Buner won football and Swat and Malakand lifted the titles of cricket matches.
The players from Buner district have also won the table tennis tournament that concluded in a single day.
Teams of various sports from seven districts are participating in the sports fair.
