PESHAWAR, March 9: Sri Lanka team beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final match of the Asia Cup Cricket Tournament.
Sri Lanka won the ‘Asian cricket champion’ title for the fifth time.
At the match in Mirpur Stadium, Bangladesh on Saturday, Pakistan batted first and scored 260 runs in 50 overs. In response, the Sri Lankan team chased down the target score in the 47th over.
Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga was declared “Man of the Match” for excellent performance with the ball.
