PESHAWAR, April 30: The Health Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahram Tarakai, has asked the doctors and other staff of hospitals to wear proper uniforms in their duty timings.

He also asked the doctors not to prescribe extra medicines to the patients. TNN correspondent says the minister was addressing a ceremony at the Lady Reading Hospital in connection with the World Vaccination Week.

Mr Tarakai said the patients visiting government hospitals for medication were often poor and that the doctors should prescribe them inexpensive medicines.

A health magazine found out in a recent research that majority of Pakistani doctors prescribed extra and unnecessary medicines to the patients.
