DIR, July 7: A large number of tourists have started visiting the picnic spots of Upper Dir district with the start of summer season.
Kumrat, Saidgi, Dandda, Shahi, Jaaz Banda, Osherai Dara, Laamcharh Abshaar, are some of the picnic spots in Upper Dir, which attract tourists. The sightseers enjoy the beauty of natures in the shape of forests, springs, rivers, waterfalls, and pleasant weather of the area.
Talking to TNN, several tourists asked the government to build roads, set up hotels and rest houses at hill stations in Upper Dir.
“We visit Upper Dir each year and if the roads are improved and a hotels and rest houses established, the area will attract more tourists,” said a tourist.
“Allah has blessed this area with immense beauty of nature but authorities need to develop the area for tourism,” said a resident of Dir town.
