Orakzai: Two Azerbaijani Nationals Allegedly Linked to ISIS-K Arrested

In Orakzai, a tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces and local police conducted a joint operation and arrested two suspected foreign nationals, who are allegedly linked to the extremist group ISIS-Khorasan.

According to police sources, the suspects were apprehended in the Ghaljo Bazaar area. Initial information indicates that the two individuals, identified as Ghor son of Kazim and Mohammad Yunus son of Mohammad, were reportedly citizens of Azerbaijan who had entered Ghaljo on foot from the Alisherzai area of Central Kurram.

 Security agencies intercepted them after observing suspicious movement and took them into custody for questioning.

The suspects have been transferred to a nearby police station, where further investigations are ongoing. 

Early interrogations suggest possible links to ISIS-K, though authorities have said that final confirmation is still pending and investigations are continuing from all angles.

Police and security agencies have increased surveillance in the area and intensified operations to locate any potential facilitators.
