PESHAWAR, September 13: The 19th National Boys Age Group Swimming Championship has started in the provincial capital Peshawar.

At the first day of the event on 12 September, Sindh got first position by getting 16 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and four bronze medals in the Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 categories at the Peshawar Sports Complex.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team achieved second position by winning one silver medal and 10 bronze medals. Punjab got third position with one gold medal, one silver medal and three bronze medals.

Players of Gilgit-Baltistan have not got a single medal till now. The championship will continue for three days and three national level records have been also made in the event so far.

Teams of Balochistan, Fata and Azad Kashmir have not yet participate in the championship.
