A tragic case of suspected honour killing emerged from the Ramak area of Dera Ismail Khan, where a 16-year-old girl was allegedly shot and killed by her brother over suspicions of an illicit relationship.
According to police, the suspect, Abdul Latif, son of Allah Wasaya, suspected that his teenage sister was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a man. Acting on this suspicion, he allegedly opened fire and killed her.
Attempt to Cover Up the Crime
After the incident, the accused tried to mislead the family by claiming that the girl had committed suicide, police said.

However, the father, Allah Wasaya, grew suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death.
Upon conducting his own inquiry, he discovered that she had been deliberately killed, leading him to report the matter to the local police station.
FIR Registered, Suspect at Large
Police confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Abdul Latif, and raids are underway to arrest him. Further investigations are in progress.
Authorities have condemned the incident and reiterated their commitment to ensuring that justice is served in the case.
