Terrorists Attack FC Fort in Bannu: One Soldier Martyred, Five Injured

Initially, security forces eliminated three attackers during the confrontation. The remaining two assailants sought refuge under an excavator near the fort. One was neutralized on the spot, while the other fled a short distance before detonating himself.

A terrorist attack on an FC fort near the Baran Dam in Bannu resulted in the martyrdom of one FC soldier and injuries to five others. Security forces responded swiftly, neutralizing all five attackers.

Sources reported that the terrorists launched the assault with heavy and small arms, targeting the fort located at the foothills within the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police Station. In total, five militants attempted to infiltrate the fort.

Second Incident: Gunfire on Convoy

In a separate incident, unidentified miscreants opened fire on a convoy transporting injured personnel from North Waziristan to CMH Bannu. The attack occurred on the Bannu-Miranshah Road in the jurisdiction of Baka Khel Police Station, but no casualties were reported.

It is worth mentioning that just a day earlier, unidentified assailants opened fire in the Qambarabad area of Bara, killing Khyber Police DSB official Abdul Wali along with two others, while injuring two individuals.
