
PESHAWAR, May 31: A three -day Paralympic Tournament of disabled players organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came to an end in the provincial capital Peshawar, with Pakistan Army team leading by securing 13 gold medals.
The physically challenged players from all over Pakistan participated in the event in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players secured second position by winning 12 gold medals while Punjab players got third position.
The Paralympic games include athletics, cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis and target shooting, in which 300 players participated.
The event concluded at a colorful ceremony in the Arena sports ground where students of various schools presented tableaus and skits. The chief guest, Provincial Education Minister Mr Atif Khan, distributed prizes among students later on.
