KOHAT: A three-day training workshop on Right to Information (RTI) Act, organised by the Centre for Governance and Public Accountability, has concluded in Kohat district.
Our correspondent says a good number of journalists and members of civil society attended the event. The workshop coordinator, Mr Muhammad Imran, told TNN that the workshop was meant to raise awareness among people about the law.
One of the participants told TNN, “If people are informed of their rights, they will get to know about roles of various departments and it will ultimately lead to accountability.”
The participants were told that raising awareness about the Right to Information Act was a collective responsibility.
