A gas explosion caused by gas accumulating inside a house occurred in the Alorgi Banda area of Banda Daud Shah tehsil in Karak, completely destroying the house. Three people, including a woman and children, were killed while nine others were injured.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Asif Khattak, the Rescue 1122 Disaster Team and ambulances reached the scene shortly after receiving information about the explosion.

The affected people were pulled from the debris and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Karak for medical treatment.

The spokesperson said those killed in the incident included a 55-year-old woman, wife of Baghdad, Shakeel’s two-year-old daughter, and three-year-old Alisha. Nine people, aged between three and 60, were injured.

Police officials said further details of the incident are being collected.
