BARA, November 22: Three volunteers of the peace committee, Tauheedul Islam, have been killed in a clash with militants in Khyber Agency.
Administration officials say the clash occurred in Naray Baba area. During exchange of fire with Lashkar-e-Islam militants, three members of the peace committee died on the spot.
Tauheedul Islam is a peace committee raised by local tribesmen to guard their area against militants. Lashkar-e-Islam is a tribal militia founded by Mr Mangal Bagh and it has been banned by the government for subversive activities.
