The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that former Director General of ISI, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Faiz Hameed, along with three other retired officers, has been taken into military custody. This action was taken in response to alleged violations of military discipline.

According to ISPR, the officers are accused of breaching military discipline. On August 12, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Faiz Hameed was taken into military custody for his involvement in the private housing scheme, Top City, and other violations of the Pakistan Army Act. Proceedings for a Field General Court Martial have been initiated against him.
