GHALLANAI/CHARSADDA, May 1: Three primary schools and a basic health unit have been blown up in Mohmand Agency and Charsadda district.
The administration officials told TNN that the explosive devices planted in two schools, one for girls and the other for boys, exploded in Mohmand Agency. The girls’ school was completely destroyed while the boys school was partially damaged.
Separately, a basic health unit was also bombed in Aqrab Daag area of the agency. The explosion destroyed two rooms of the BHU.
Another bomb blast damaged a primary school for girls in Sarokhel area of Charsadda district.
Militants have blown up hundreds of schools and health units in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas during the last several years.
