A suspect from South Waziristan has been arrested in the murder case of TikToker Gilamana (Shamsu Bibi), who was allegedly shot dead by a motorcycle rider near the Taxila Bypass in Rawalpindi.
According to police sources, the arrested suspect is accused of luring Shamsu Bibi out of her home. Police are continuing efforts to arrest two other suspects nominated in the case.
In his statement to police, the victim’s father said his daughter was killed over a financial dispute. He said two suspects had previously threatened to kill Shamsu Bibi over money-related issues.
According to her father, Shamsu Bibi had been active on TikTok for the past three years and had more than 1.3 million followers.

Police sources said further investigation into the incident is underway, while raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest the other suspects.
It may be recalled that 28-year-old Gilamana was travelling to Rawalpindi by car with her 12-year-old sister, Asmiya, when an alleged motorcycle rider stopped their vehicle and opened fire near the Taxila Bypass on GT Road.
Gilamana sustained two bullet wounds to her neck. She was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries.
