Kohat, Darra Adam Khel: In a devastating incident, torrential rains in the Kohat subdivision of Darra Adam Khel resulted in the deaths of 12 members of a single household. According to sources, the tragedy occurred in the Purana Bazi Khel area when rainwater accumulated in the basement of the family's home.
Rescue 1122 reported that residents alerted them to the situation, indicating that the family members were asleep when the basement began to flood. The rescue team immediately launched a recovery operation and retrieved the bodies of 12 individuals, including 3 women and 5 children.
The search for one missing girl is still ongoing. The bodies have been transported to a nearby hospital. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the entire area.

In a related incident, three people lost their lives due to rain-induced accidents in Swabi last night.
Taking notice of these tragic events, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families. He stated, "The provincial government will enhance precautionary measures to mitigate the loss of life and property caused by monsoon rains. We stand with the affected families in their time of grief."
