PESHAWAR, May 4: Earthquakes shook various areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last night.

According to the Met office, a tremor measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale rattled Peshawar, Mardan, Dir Chitral, Kohistan and Malakand areas. After some time, another quake measuring 5.6 at the Richter scale was felt in several areas. The second tremor panicked the people.

The earthquake in 2005 had destroyed entire villages and killed thousands of people in Pakistan.
