Bannu: Two men, identified as Raqiyaz and Aamir, were shot dead in Jan Qala within the jurisdiction of Domel Police Station on Tuesday.
Police launched an immediate operation and arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the shooting.
According to SHO Domel Irshad Khan, both the victims and the suspects were part of a criminal gang. They were reportedly addicts of crystal meth (ice) and involved in its trade. Evidence also links them to incidents of motorcycle theft, robbery, and snatching, he said.

In a separate incident in Mandan area, one suspected extortionist was killed and another arrested during an exchange of fire near the CPEC Circular Road.
The slain accused was identified as Latif, a resident of Gambila, Lakki Marwat, while his accomplice Rehan was taken into custody along with a weapon.
Police said the two men had been demanding extortion from local brick kiln owners and were returning to collect more when they came under fire.
