MINGORA, July 8: Two more women have fallen victims to dengue fever in Swat, raising the total number of the patients to six this year in the district.
The Health Department has notified that both of the women belong to Amankot area of Mingora town. After diagnosis of dengue virus in the two women, they were hospitalised at the Saidu Sharif Hospital.
Last year dengue fever claimed several lives in in Swat. This year the provincial government has taken measures to contain the disease, but even then some cases of dengue have emerged in the area.
