TIMERGARA, November 22: Two students have died and six others have been injured when car of a schoolteacher went straight into the queues of students attending the morning assembly.
The police say that incident took place in the Government Higher Secondary School in Jandol Mayar area.
As soon as the science teacher, Mr Saleem Jan, entered the school premises, he lost control over the steering going straight into the assembly ground.
The incident resulted in eight casualties who were rushed to the hospital, where two of them succumbed to their injuries. In addition, doctors termed one student to be in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police authorities arrested the schoolteacher after the incident.
However, other faculty members at the school said the teacher was mentally sick and that the mishap took place because he was suffering from epilepsy that time.
