PESHAWAR, May 20: The United States has assured not to engage spy men in polio vaccination in future.
An advisor to the US President, Mr Barack Obama, has written to health organisations they had forbidden the CIA personnel throughout the world including the US to use the vaccination campaign for spying purpose.
The American spy agency, CIA, had run a fake vaccination drive in Abbottabad, Pakistan in 2011 to find out presence of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden. The CIA action later maligned the anti-polio campaign in Pakistan and the vaccination was banned in the tribal areas.
