NOWSHERA, June 28: A provincial government organisation working for rights of youth, Jawan Markaz, and a private sector organisation Mashal held a Youth Conference in Nowshera district.
Ten young girls and boys of the area were given awards for their performance in sports, education and other fields during the conference, which was held at the Government High School in cantonment area.
The participants asked youngsters to come forward and play positive role in the progress and welfare of society.
The youngsters, who received the awards, lauded the organisers for organising the ceremony.
“My name is Ms Arfa Hassam and I am a gold medallist of baseball at national level. For the first time in Nowshera, a youth conference is being held wherein the sports players, particularly girls, are being appreciated and rewarded. This is an honour for us.”
