TANK, June 23: The Department of Ushar and Zakat distributed cheques worth 1.7 million rupees of Guzara Allowance among 285 deserving people in Tank district.
On 22 June, District Zakat Committee Chairman Mr Fareedullah Mehsud distributed the 6000 rupees cheque to each person at the Cambridge Public School.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr Mehsud said they had approved 300,000 rupees for dowry allowance, 200,000 rupees for health, and 170,000 rupees for work on colleges.
Mr Fazal Rehman, who of those who received the cheque s, told TNN, “I got a cheque of 6000 rupees. My hands and legs are disabled. I hope the cheque will help me manage my expenses in the holy month of Ramazan. May Allah bless these people who helped me.”
