Security forces successfully neutralized 10 terrorists during an operation in Khyber district's Tirah Valley, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to ISPR, the operation was carried out late Sunday night in Bagh, the central area of Tirah Valley, based on intelligence reports. Security personnel targeted the terrorist hideout, eliminating 10 militants in the process.
The military's media wing further stated that a clearance operation is ongoing in the area to ensure the complete elimination of terrorist elements. Security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.
A day earlier, security forces conducted two separate operations in Dera Ismail Khan, killing seven terrorists. Last week, a similar intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan led to the elimination of 30 militants.
The recent rise in terrorist activities has been linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)'s violation of its ceasefire agreement with the government in 2022. A report by the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), published last month, highlighted that terrorist attacks in 2024 have surged to levels last seen in 2014, with over 95% of attacks recorded in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
