KHYBER: Around 100 Pakistani students studying at various medical colleges and other universities in Afghanistan have safely returned to Pakistan through the Torkham border, following efforts by Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber District Senior Vice President Haji Sherin Afridi.

According to sources, the students had been facing difficulties returning home due to the prevailing situation in Afghanistan, causing concern among both the students and their families.

Sources said Haji Sherin Afridi remained in constant contact with the relevant authorities and actively pursued the matter to facilitate the students' safe return.

As a result of these efforts, the students crossed into Pakistan through the Torkham border without incident.

The returning students and their families expressed gratitude to Haji Sherin Afridi, praising his timely intervention and commitment to public service during a difficult time.

Political and social circles also welcomed the initiative, describing it as an example of humanitarian service and responsible leadership. They expressed hope that similar practical efforts to address public concerns would continue in the future.
