130 Bunkers Demolished in Kurram as Peace Efforts Gain Momentum

The demolition of bunkers used in past conflicts continues in Kurram district, with authorities confirming that 44 more bunkers have been razed in the last four days.

KURRAM: The demolition of bunkers used in past conflicts continues in the Kurram district, with authorities confirming that 44 more bunkers have been razed in the last four days. This brings the total number of demolished bunkers to 130.

According to the district administration, several trenches have also been filled with heavy machinery to prevent their use in future clashes. The bunkers and trenches had previously been used during violent confrontations between rival groups.

In addition to security measures, efforts are underway to facilitate the restoration of normalcy in the region. 

Authorities report that 853 trucks carrying commercial goods have been dispatched to Kurram to address supply shortages. Moreover, the renovation of Bagan Bazaar is in progress, and financial aid is being provided to affected families.
